The season's first winter storm continues to affect Southern Arizona. As of 6 p.m. Sunday, a Winter Storm Warning was in effect above 4500 feet for Cochise and Santa Cruz Counties until 6 p.m. Monday. In addition, a Winter Weather Advisory was in effect above 4500 feet for Eastern Pima, Graham and Southern Greenlee Counties until Noon Monday.

The heaviest snows will occur in the Huachuca and Chiricahua Mountains, with up to 10 inches possible by Monday night. Lower elevation towns like Sonoita, Tombstone and Bisbee could see 2-4 inches of snow as well. Residents in Summerhaven could see up to 6 inches of snow by Monday afternoon. Valley floors can expect scattered showers and even a few rumbles of thunder through Monday evening.
