FOUNTAIN HILLS, Ariz. - The winning Powerball jackpot ticket was sold in Fountain Hills, Arizona, the Arizona Lottery announced Thursday morning.
The ticket was sold at the 4 Sons Food Store.
Eric Seitz, the company's general manager, said "We don't know when it was, we think it was in the last 36 hours but that's all we know."
Two winning tickets matched the six numbers for the $579.9 million jackpot, the other was in Missouri. The winning numbers were sold on a $10 quick pick ticket.
Bob Chebat manages the Chevron store where the ticket was sold and said, "I hope it was somebody that is a regular here and comes in all the time because a lot of people do that. We get a lot of repeat business on lottery. Be nice to know that somebody was that blessed this Christmas."
The store sold $8,080 worth of tickets on Wednesday.
