Windy wrap to rodeo, Match Play

TUCSON - Another round of cool and windy weather is on the way to Southern Arizona.

After a beautiful start to the weekend a cold front will move through the region on Sunday bringing an increase in winds and a decrease in temperatures. According to Meteorologist John Patrick, Tucson will see highs back down into the mid 50s and wind gusts reaching 35mph under mostly sunny skies.

The strongest winds are expected east of Tucson where a Wind Advisory is in place from noon to 7pm on Sunday. Places like Douglas, Safford and Sierra Vista could see gusts up to 45-50mph making for some difficult travel.

Things start to get back to normal by the middle of next week as sunny skies and warmer temperatures make their way back into the forecast. The 70s return by late next week as high pressure builds into the desert southwest.
