TUCSON - Spring is in the air and nature seems to be taking its course because wildflowers are popping up everywhere, and that includes the desert museum.
The eye-catching blossoms are grabbing everyone's attention and that includes birds, bees and people, they're all going to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum to catch a glimpse.
Pat Avery stopped by to check them out.
Avery said, "I think they're wonderful, and I know because of the rain that they're a bit later than they normally are."
Because of the recent rains, the season is a little behind, wildflower season happens in mid to late February, but not this year.
George Montgomery with the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum said, "Now's the time to get out there and start looking at them because the next couple of weeks will be the peak of the flowering."
Kindergarten teacher Brianna Woolen is enjoying the vibrant flowers with her students.
Woolen said, "We are on a field trip, I brought 25 of my crazy kid's here and they are ecstatic, they're running around like crazy people."
So that means now is definitely the time to get out and smell the wildflowers.
