Wildcat setter Penina Snuka selected for Pac-12 All-Star team

TUCSON - University of Arizona setter Penina Snuka has been selected to travel to China with the Pac-12 Volleyball All-Star team. Wildcat assistant coach Charita Stubbs will also make the trip as an assistant for the program.

12 athletes from around the conference will play seven matches between June 17 and June 27. The team will practice in Los Angeles prior to the competition.

Snuka is one of two setters on the team, which boasts athletes from 11 of the 12 league programs. She was an honorable mention selection for the all-region team and finished the season with 18 double-doubles, best in the Pac-12. The mark ranked second in the NCAA among freshmen.

Snuka is the second Wildcat to make the trip, joining teammate Madi Kingdon who was selected a year ago.
