TUCSON - Abundant moisture still in place to support scattered thunderstorms through the weekend.
Moisture surge continues into southern Arizona with the threat for heavy rain and gusty winds, according to Meteorologist John Patrick. With the Monsoon not giving up for early September storms will be possible for any afternoon tailgating or first half action as UA hosts OSU. Deep Monsoon moisture sticks around right on through Wednesday with mainly afternoon and evening scattered storms possible.
It looks like the Monsoon could be making one of its last stands over the next several days. A drying trend is expected by late next week shutting our storm chances down by Thursday. Until than daytime highs will average a few degrees below average in the low to mid 90s.
