TUCSON - Our daily round of Monsoon storms kicks off this afternoon.
Areas along and east of a Nogales-Safford line stand a chance at thunderstorms, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. The best chance of scattered storms today will be across Cochise, Graham and Greenlee Counties. Limited moisture and instability leaves Tucson dry as the 100's appear for the 38th time this year.
High pressure moves toward the Four Corners tomorrow, pulling in more moisture across the state. Tucson & southeastern Arizona stands a better chance of scattered storms Thursday through Saturday. Storms will be capable of producing gusty winds and a dust storm on I-10 north of Marana and/or east of Benson.
Monsoon storms taper to the isolated, hit and miss variety next week. Daytime highs the next week remain in triple digit territory.
