TUCSON - Weekend vendors along the Rillito Loop are hoping to make things just a little bit easier this summer as Tucsonans experience their city.
TNT Beverage and Snacks is just one of a few new vendors taking a stab at a six-month pilot program set up at parks along The Loop.
"We're not losing money so I'm happy with that. I mean nobody has ever done it so you can't really gauge it on anything and we're taking it as it comes and if we need to expand it'll expand," said Tim Moore of TNT Beverage and Snacks.
Edie Murtaugh and her granddaughter Nevaeh took advantage of the vendors this weekend for cool drinks and ice cream.
"I think at all the parks would be great and that's where she likes to go is the park so this is great because usually we have to leave, go get something to drink and come back," Murtaugh.
Judy and Joe Hite operate Hot Pops Kettle Corn. They plan on sticking it out throughout the summer.
While the county considers granting more permits to vendors, Judy is confident this won't get out of hand.
"They control the number of spaces at each entrance from the loop... it's not going to overrun and just turn out to be a great big food fest," Judi Hite said.
