TUCSON - Isolated storms still likely heading into the weekend.
Southern Arizona is holding onto to enough moisture and instability to keep another round isolated storms going Saturday afternoon. According to Meteorologist John Patrick, the possibility is there for some storms to turn severe today with the threat of strong gusty winds and heavy rain.
Our monsoon ridge of high pressure shifts a little further to the east on Sunday allowing some drying to occur over the region. We'll hang on to just enough moisture to support a few hit or miss storms Sunday afternoon but overall expecting a quiet day to wrap the weekend.
