TUCSON - As advertised, Wednesday was another windy day across Southern Arizona. Winds peaked early in the morning and have been diminishing throughout the afternoon. Lighter winds will continue through the rest of the evening with gusts only to 20 mph.
Expect some breezes Thursday, but not as fierce as Wednesday, along with a modest warming trend. High pressure is moving closer to our area and low 90s will be reached for much of the area under mostly sunny skies.
Friday and Saturday look to be the warmest days as highs approach the upper 90s. Triple digits are possible, but the official forecast keeps the ice in a solid state along the Santa Cruz River.
By Sunday another weather maker approaches the area bringing another round of breezes and slightly cooler temperatures.
