TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) A small stream flood advisory has been issued for south-central Pima County.
The National Weather Service says the advisory is out until 11 a.m.
Weather service radar has indicated over an inch of rain has fallen along the eastern Baboquivari (bab-oh-kee-VAR'-ee) Mountains over the past couple of hours.
Rainfall runoff will fill normally dry washes with running water.
The Santa Margarita, Las Moras, Pozo Hondo and Bailey washes will all be impacted.
Forecasters say drivers should expect significant ponding of water in roadway dips along Highway 286 near the intersection of Arivaca (ayr-uh-VAH'-kuh) Road.
