FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) A blowing dust advisory is in effect until 7 p.m. along the Interstate 40 corridor in northern Arizona.
The National Weather Service in Flagstaff said strong gusty winds will develop and continue into the early evening Monday.
Winds are expected to blow from the southwest at 30 to 40 miles-an-hour with gusts of 45 to 55 miles-an-hour.
Windy conditions could make travel difficult along Interstate 40 and Highway 89 north of Flagstaff, especially for high profile vehicles.
Forecasters said blowing dust across the Little Colorado River Valley east of Flagstaff could reduce visibility to a quarter of a mile in some places.
