Warming trend follows chilly morning start

TUCSON - After waking up to a chilly morning daytime highs will be on the rise this afternoon.

Waking up in the low 40s for Tucson today makes it the coolest morning since February. A Freeze Warning is still in effect until 8am for the lowest valley locations mainly in Cochise County.

Temperatures this afternoon will be about 5-10° warmer than yesterday with a forecast high of 77° in Tucson. Clouds will also be on the increase today with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.

A cold front moves through the Great Basin this weekend keeping temperatures in the mid 70s. We'll also see the afternoon breeze kick up each day this weekend between 10-20mph with stronger gusts.
