TUCSON - Warmer temperatures start this afternoon.
After a cool start to the day in the upper 40s and low 50s daytime highs will jump up to about 88 degrees this afternoon. Generally sunny skies expected today with a morning breeze that should die down into the afternoon hours.
A system clips through the four corners on Wednesday bringing the gusty winds back to southern Arizona. Cochise County will see dry wind gusts up to about 35mph prompting a Fire Weather Watch from 1pm to 9pm Wednesday.
Temperatures will stay about 5 degrees above average this week as we top out in the mid to upper 80s through this weekend. By Saturday we may tap into enough moisture to support a few isolated thunderstorms mainly in the mountains with the biggest threat being strong gusty winds.
