TUCSON - Long sleeves to start the day, short sleeves to finish.
A storm system tracks north of the state the rest of the week, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Afternoon highs today through Friday peak in the low to mid 80's. Overnight lows will be on the cool side, ranging from the low 40's in eastern Cochise County to near 50 across the Tucson metro. A few spots in the Sulphur Springs Valley may drop into the 30's.
Expect mostly sunny skies to wrap up the week with clear skies during the nighttime hours.
High pressure emerges from the eastern Pacific this weekend, bringing a warm-up. Afternoon highs top out in the mid 80's starting Saturday, with temps running 4-6 degrees above average early next week.
