Wanted level III sex offender arrested near Auto Mall

TUCSON - Authorities have arrested Jereal Turner, a fugitive level three sex offender who took his monitoring bracelet off Aug. 2.

The arrest happened near the Auto Mall on Oracle Thursday morning just before 8 a.m., a source said.

TUCSON - US Marshals are looking for a man classified as a level 3 sex offender who took his ankle bracelet Friday morning at a halfway house.

Tucson Police say they received a call that Jereal Lee Turner had removed the tracking device from his ankle at about 6:45 a.m.

Turner was release from prison in March of 2012 on lifetime probation, News 4 reporter Lupita Murillo said.

Turner was convicted of sexual conduct with a minor. Mike Smith from the probation department stressed the urgency of apprehending Turner.

Turner is said to wear a Fedora hat.

"We need to catch him now," Smith said.

Anyone with information regarding Turner's whereabouts is being asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
