'Walk the Loop for Lupus' next month to benefit local foundation

TUCSON - You can support the fight against Lupus next month at The Lupus Foundation of Southern Arizona's 11th Annual "Walk the Loop for Lupus."

The walk will travel around the 5-kilometer Reid Park pedestrian path around the public golf courses, beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 17.

The Lupus Foundation of Southern Arizona provides support and education to individuals in the Southern Arizona community affected by Lupus. Services offered include support groups, a lending library, self-help classes and a 24 hour crisis hot line. The Foundation also contributes to funding local research programs related to the diagnosis and treatment of Lupus.

The foundation is funded entirely by donations and fundraisers like "Walk the Loop for Lupus."

Registration for "Walk the Loop for Lupus" is $25 in advance and $30.00 at the event on March 17, 2012. All donations support the fight against Lupus locally within the Southern Arizona community. Festivities will include a raffle, gifts, prizes, refreshments and an inflatable jumping castle for kids.
