TUCSON - A murder-suicide in midtown on Tuesday night leaves two men dead.
Around 7:30 Tucson Police were called to reports of a shooting in the 4500 block of East 28th Street. Officers found two men with gunshot wounds in the street in front of the residence. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives from the Homicide Unit responded to continue the investigation. They spoke to witnesses and examined physical evidence at the scene. They determined that the got into a fight inside the home. At one point, the suspect attacked the victim with a kitchen knife and stabbed him multiple times.
The suspect then armed himself with a handgun and fired multiple shots at the victim. The victim ran from the residence into the street and the suspect chased him. The suspect fired additional shots at the victim before turning the gun on himself and committing suicide. It's believed that the victim was struck multiple times by gunfire both inside and outside the residence.
The victim is identified as 32-year old Jadrian Rusche. The suspect is identified as 30-year old Michael Kistner.
