TUCSON - Casa Sanchez Mom's Mexican Food on East 22nd Street received five critical and two non-critical violations.
According to the Pima County Health Department report, an employee was observed changing gloves without first washing his hands. The hand sink next to the 3-compartment sink was not in working order and may be affecting hand washing in the establishment.
The establishment has ten days to fix the sink issue. Casa Sanchez Mom's Mexican Food gets an *N* for Needs Improvement.
El Dorado Restaurant on South 4th Avenue received eight critical and eight non-critical violations - but quickly took care of the issues.
The establishment struggled with food temperature control issues, there was no sink in the bar area, food segregation problems, there was food debris on utensils and there were no tags on raw shell oysters.
Just five days later, inspectors returned to find all violations corrected. El Dorado operated on a Provisional license, but has since passed it's re-inspection.
Seri Melaka on East Broadway Boulevard received four critical and two non-critical violations.
A pan of fried rice was held at 120-degrees - it needs to be 10-degrees hotter. Cooked chicken and beef were held 17-24-degrees higher than required for cold storage. The cook was observed changing his gloves three different times without first washing his hands.
Seri Melaka still gets a *G* for Good.
The best of the week belongs to: Little Anthony's Diner on East Broadway Boulevard, Mama's Famous Pizza & Heros on South Houghton Road and Grandma Tony's Pizza on East Broadway Boulevard - all getting an *E* for Excellent.
