NEW YORK - A Southwest airlines jet made a rough landing at New York's Laguardia airport this evening when the landing gear collapsed as the plane touched down on the runway.
This rear view of the jet shows the nose on the tarmac and the emergency chute deployed.
Authorities say four people suffered anxiety attacks and two suffered minor injuries because of the hard landing.
The Federal Aviation Administration says the Southwest flight from Nashville was carrying 149 passengers and crew.
All passengers have left the plane and were bussed to the terminal.
The Port Authority has temporarily closed the airport but one runway is expected to open soon.
