TUCSON - A hiker who had fallen in Mt. Lemmon's backcountry was rescued by Pima County Sheriffs.
The incident happened on Jan. 11.
The hiker, a 56-year-old man, was trying to cross a bridge on the backside of Mt. Lemmon when he lost his footing and fell, Pima County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Courtney Rodriguez said.
The hiker suffered multiple fractures, inlcuding a broken vertabrae. The hiker had limited mobility.
The hiker was flown to the hospital for treatment.
