SOUTH TUCSON - Police have identified one suspect in a home invasion that happened in South Tucson on Wednesday evening, and are asking the public's help in locating him and his alleged accomplice.
South Tucson Police say 21-year-old Jose Luis Garcia, known to the victims, and an unidentified accomplice were invited into a home in the 200 block of West 38th Street. Once inside, the two suspects restrained two adult victims, one elderly and disabled, and a 9-year-old boy with plastic ties.
The victims were forced onto the ground at knife point, and the suspects then searched the residence for prescription drugs, the South Tucson Police news release states. The suspects then took numerous items, including: a 60-inch television, Xbox, computer, and cell phone. The suspects loaded the stolen items into an unknown tan-colored, four-door sedan, and then left the area in an unknown direction.
The South Tucson Police Department is asking anyone with information about this incident, or knows the whereabouts of Jose Garcia and the accomplice, to call 88-CRIME or the South Tucson Police Department at (520) 917-1580.
Garcia, pictured above, is described as a 5-foot-4-inch tall Hispanic man weighing 130 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes, and a thin build.
