TUCSON - A Border Patrol agent saved the life of an infant Wednesday in Sierra Vista.

The agent was reportedly preparing to leave for work when he heard screaming coming from a home in the area.

He ran toward the screaming and found a woman holding a lifeless baby girl.

Reverting to his First Responder Training, the agent assessed the infant and discovered an object lodged in the baby's throat.

The agent dislodged the object and the baby started to breathe again.
