TUCSON - A 23-year-old man is dead following a shooting Tuesday morning.
Police responded to reports of shots fired shortly after 2 a.m. at an apartment complex at 6200 South Campbell.
Officers found a Hispanic man in the parking lot suffering from obvious signs of trauma. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Detectives from the Gang Investigations Unit responded and learned the victim and another man were involved in a fight with group of people in the apartment complex.
Several people were questioned but so far, no arrests have been made.
Detectives served a search warrant at an apartment where they located what appeared to be a grenade. The building was evacuated and the bomb squad was called to the scene. It turned out to be a fake.
Detectives are working to determine a motive and find suspects in the case.
