Up to 1,500 without water on south side

TUCSON - A break in a southside water main could be affecting up to 1,500 Tucson Water customers at this time, officials confirm.

The outage began this afternoon when a construction crew doing work near Valencia and Alvernon hit a 16-inch water main. A News 4 Tucson crew at the scene confirmed that the water main was leaking.

No other information is available at this time - stay tuned to News 4 Tucson for the latest.
