SIERRA VISTA - After responding to a noise complaint, Sierra Vista Police arrest a man suspected of using stolen credit cards.
Officers were investigating a July 26 burglary at CAS School. Video surveillance showed a black male with a mohawk haircut enter the school and go into a classroom. It was later determined a wallet containing several credit cards was taken. Several unauthorized charges were later made to the cards. Officers also obtained surveillance video from various Sierra Vista stores showing a black male with a mohawk haircut using the victim's credit cards.
Based on a prior record, the suspect in the videos from the school and the stores was identified as Jason A. Readye, Jr.
On August 7, officers responded to a noise complaint and made contact with a subject that provided a false name. Sierra Vista dispatchers advised officers the name provided is an alias for Jason A. Readye, Jr. Officers attempted to place Readye under arrest when he resisted and tried to get away.
Readye was arrested and charged with: 1 count of Burglary, 2 counts of Theft of a Credit Card, 5 counts of Forgery of a Credit Card, 10 counts of Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Prescription Drugs, Possession of Narcotic Drugs, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Readye was booked into the Cochise County Jail.
