TUCSON - University of Arizona police are looking for a suspect who they say pulled up to a boy in a white van near campus and told him to get inside.
At about 4 p.m. on July 21, a boy was approached by a suspicious vehicle while he was in the area of Highland Avenue and Sixth Street, according to a news release from University of Arizona Police Department. The vehicle, described as a white, late-90's Chevrolet van with a sliding door, tinted windows, silver rims and a gold Chevy logo, stopped by a curb near the juvenile.
The driver told the boy to get inside the vehicle, the release states, and the boy walked away from the van. The driver is described as a white man in his 30's, with short black spiky hair, a mustache and black sunglasses. No weapons were seen or implied during the incident.
Anyone with information about this incident or vehicle is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
The UAPD has provided a composite sketch of the suspect and a photo of a van similar to the one described, seen above.
