TUCSON - University Boulevard is being reopened to all traffic today, according to the Regional Transportation website.
University Boulevard is opening to vehicular, bicycle and pedestrian traffic between Euclid and Park Avenues. But officials say some parking and lane restrictions may be in place along the roadway as the contractor completes the installation of the streetcar stop.
This follows three months of construction for the Modern Streetcar Project, which will connect the University of Arizona and the downtown area. Plans now call for the streetcar to operate each day until 2 a.m., but those hours have not yet been finalized.
The reopening of University Boulevard comes just in time for classes at the U of A, which begin on Monday.
