After facing a very close election with Ben Buehler-Garcia, council member Karin Uhlich is looking forward to serving the people of Tucson.
According to Director of Elections Brad Nelson, all votes have been counted but the official confirmation of the winner will be with the Mayor and Council on Monday.
Uhlich says she plans to deliver what she heard from the voters during this election.
"I heard from the electorate that there is a lot of suffering and concern in the community. The local government needs to be responsive to that."
For now, Uhlich will start looking towards the future.
"Set aside and leave behind us the campaign because what we need to do is look forward."
