TUCSON - The University of Arizona School of Music is hosting the 59th Annual Band Day at Arizona Stadium on Saturday.
The all-day event features the Southwest's finest marching bands from across Arizona, Texas and New Mexico, ranging in size from 30 to over 250 members.
Each band will be evaluated by a panel of expert judges and are competing to recieve the prestigious Nunamaker Award.
The morning and afternoon sessions ended with a performance by the University of Arizona's own Pride of Arizona Marching Band.
The event will continue until 9 p.m. Tickets are available throughthe UA College of Fine Arts Box Office. General admission costs $8.
