TUCSON - Witnesses say a man was seen driving his car near the Park Student Union, firing a handgun into the air from inside his vehicle.
Just before midnight last night, University of Arizona Police Department officers responded to a report of gunshots coming from a vehicle near the PSU, located int the 600 block of North park Avenue, according to a UAPD news release.
Witnesses described seeing a silver Ford Mustang with a driver and a passenger with black decals on the side, and a rear spoiler, traveling north on Park Ave. The driver was seen shooting a handgun into the air.
The driver and passenger were described as white men, and witnesses say the passenger was wearing a black short-sleeved shirt, with black hair or a black cap.
No injuries were reported, but during an investigation, authorities found damage to a University of Arizona building - one of the windows of McClelland Park shot out, authorities say.
