UA Poetry Center Director being recognized for work

TUCSON - University of Arizona Poetry Center Executive Director Gail Browne is receiving the Juliana Yoder Friend of the Humanities Award Sunday night.

Browne is being recognized for her work as the Executive Director, including the construction of the Helen S. Schaefer Building which is now home to the Poetry Center.

She has been with the Poetry Center since 2002.

She will be presented her award at the Arizona Humanities Council's "Sharing Words, Changing Worlds Lecture & Humanities Awards" Sunday's at Arizona Historical Society Museum in Tempe.

Browne is leaving her position at the University of Arizona in June.
