TUCSON - The search is on for a new head hockey coach at the University of Arizona.
According to the team's official website, Sean Hogan tendered his resignation as head hockey coach on Friday. He will take over as head coach of the Ohio University Bobcat hockey team.
Hogan was hired as the head coach of the University of Arizona hockey program in the Summer of 2011. This past season, Arizona Wildcat hockey finished last season with 17 wins & qualified for the ACHA Division I National Tournament for the first time since 2006.
"I have decided to start a new chapter in my life and move closer to my family. The opportunity at Ohio University allows me to do that and I look forward to the new challenges in Athens, OH.", Hogan told the team's official website.
A national search is underway for Hogan's replacement.
