TUCSON - The University of Arizona is getting in on the National Food Day festivities today with a the UA Food Day Fair, featuring a variety of demonstrations, live music, exhibits, and of course, free food on the UA mall.
Food Day is a nationwide celebration of healthy, affordable and sustainably-produced food. Dozens of companies and organizations from the UA and the Tucson community are on campus from 10 a.m., according to the website UofAFoodDay.com
There will be food demonstrations from Student Union Dining Services, Cooking on Campus, Core at the Park Street Union, and Celebrity Executive Chef Ryan Clark from Lodge on the Desert.
Food Day doesn't end today, though: there are Tucson Food Day events around town for the rest of the week.
