TUCSON - University of Arizona Baseball fans are excited to get bonus games at Hi Corbett Field this year.
The Wildcats are hosting NCAA regional games leading up to the College World Series in Omaha.
"It's awesome," Geri Murray said. "Go Cats! We're going to do awesome."
The UA baseball team often goes to the playoffs, but the last time they played at home was 20 years ago.
Some local businesses were excited about the extra boost. With the tourist season over, The Doubletree near Reid Park got a surprise sellout.
"I was here last night and we were hopping," Sales and Marketing Director SueAnn Lemon said. "Lots of happy fans, and the restaurants were full and the rooms are full."
The baseball games received a spike in attendance this year. It was the first season the team could sell alcohol, because the venue is off campus.
Because of NCAA rules, there is no alcohol allowed at the regional games.
