PHOENIX - As part of Arizona's Centennial Celebration, the U.S. Post Office is issuing the Arizona Statehood commemorative Forever Stamp.
The First-Day-of-Issue ceremony for the Forever Stamp will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 14th, Arizona's 100th birthday.
It will take place in Phoenix at the Arizona State Capitol. In attendance will be Governor Jan Brewer, John T. Edgar, vice president, Information Technology, United States Postal Service and the stamp's artist, Ed Mell, among others.
One of America's last frontiers, Arizona became the 48th state in the Union on February 14, 1912. The new stamp and unique First-Day-of-Issue collectible items go on sale at 9 a.m. on Feb. 14th.
