Tucson- The University of Arizona helped out one of their own on Sunday, hosting a 5-k race to benefit a student diagnosed with cancer.

U of A medical student Derek Neal, 41, was told in September he has terminal lung cancer.

The U of A College of Medicine organized the Team Derek 5K run around campus to raise money for Neal and his young family.
