Tyler Wing joined KVOA's news team in November of 2007. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, he is a 1996 graduate of the Edward R. Murrow School of Communication at Washington State University (Go Cougs!).

He next found himself behind the camera shooting news for 5 years at KUSI in San Diego. Prior to arriving in Southern Arizona, his reporting path took him through two stations in Texas... KBTV in Beaumont and KYTX in Tyler/Longview.

Tyler says nothing gets his blood pumping like breaking news. However, stories concerning veterans, education and civil liberties peak his interest most.

During his spare time Tyler loves to golf, hike, ski, camp and drive aimlessly to destinations unknown. He draws strength and motivation from family in Spring Lake, NC and his home town of Steilacoom, WA.

Tyler jumped at the chance to live and work in Tucson. After moving around the country for the past ten years, Wing says he's thrilled to finally have a place to call home.

Feel free to contact Tyler anytime regarding story ideas at twing@KVOA.com. After all, he says... "Some of the best news... is news which comes to us."
