TUCSON - Just hours into the New Year, police in Tucson were called to the scene of a deadly hit and run incident.

It all started shortly before 4 am when police received a 911 call. They were told that a fight had broken out on Sunland Vista, Southeast of Kino and 22nd, and someone had run over three people after that fight.

When police arrived on scene, they found one woman dead and two others - a man and a woman - seriously hurt. They were both transported to the hospital, where the man later died.

Police tell us the suspect took off after running these people over and ditched the car off the road near Campbell and Sunland, it's a white, four-door vehicle with heavy front end damage.

Tucson Police Department will continue to investigate all day, and more details are expected to come out about the suspect and his connection to the victims.
