Two injured after their ATV's collided on Sunday night

TUCSON- Two people were injured after their ATV's collided on the southwest side Sunday night.

According to Pima County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Chris Nanos, the two were riding on separate ATV's in the area of South Camino Verde and West Ajo Way around 7:30 p.m. when the vehicles collided head-on.

One ATV has four passengers on-board. One of the passengers, 27-year-old Joshua Gradillas, was thrown from the vehicle and transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, Nanos said.

The other ATV had just the driver riding on it. They were transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The other passengers were uninjured.

Detectives have determined alcohol played a factor in the crash, Nanos said.
