TUCSON - Amidst a struggling reputation, the Tucson Unified School District is undergoing a period of change, hoping to redefine itself and create a new vision for what the district can become.
But they need your help.
The district is seeking input from the community to hear the public's priorities and to encourage people to share in the determining the direction of the district.
Superintendent John Pedicone stopped by the News 4 Tucson studios today to discuss the district's issues, and to talk about the response they have already gotten.
Recently, the district launched an online survey asking the public to assess new guiding principles developed by TUSD, to provide an opinion of how they view TUSD, and to let the district know what's working well, what's not working well, and what should be the focus for the district moving forward.
Watch the video above for Dr. Pedicone's discussion on the response the district has received so far.
