TUCSON - The Tucson Unified School District Governing Board today approved increases in extracurricular fees for all students in the district.
The board unanimously approved a hike for extracurricular sports, activities, and field trips, as well as authorization for principals to waive all or part of an activity fee if it creates an economic hardship for the student.
High school sports for boys and girls will go from $50 to $65 for the 2012-2013 school year. The sport fee for middle schoolers will rise from $20 to $30.
