TUSD kindergarten open house week

TUCSON - Families are invited to tour Tucson Unified School District elementary and K-8 schools, meet teachers and learn about educational offerings next week.

TUSD offers free full-day kindergarten at all of its elementary and K-8 campuses. Kindergarten Open House week will take place March 10-14. TUSD has made a commitment to the community by providing quality early childhood education by funding all-day kindergarten and making it free to the community.
Some schools will be holding special parent nights where parents will be able to attend events such as meet-the-teacher and principal, question-and-answer periods, learning activities and the opportunity to register for the 2014-2015 school year.

Families can also learn more about free all-day kindergarten at the Tucson Festival of Books at the University of Arizona, March 15-16. TUSD will have a booth in the children's section of the festival and will feature hands-on activities, opportunities to meet kindergarten teachers and district leaders as well as the chance to enroll for school.

A full list of events and activities, along with enrollment information is available online.
