TUCSON - Hot and mainly dry weather is evident over S Arizona on Tuesday with only a few storms occurring in the mountains.
Temperatures are above average for late July with the warmest locations well above 100 degrees. More dry and unseasonably hot weather is in the forecast for Wednesday and Thursday as high pressure rests on-top of the region.
A more active period of storms are likely by Friday and into the weekend.
