SIERRA VISTA - A Tucson woman faces numerous charges after police catch her with more than 50 grams of meth.
On Monday, detectives from the Sierra Vista Police Department's Community Response Team conducted a traffic stop near Buffalo Soldier Trail and North 7th Street.
During the traffic stop, a police K9 alerted to the presence of a controlled substance coming from the vehicle. Through the course of the investigation, a passenger identified as 27-year-old Angelica Garcia Mendoza of Tucson was found to have approximately 54 grams of meth on her.
Mendoza was arrested and charged with: Possession of a Dangerous Drug for Sale, Transport of a Dangerous Drug, Possession of Dangerous Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Tampering with Evidence. Mendoza was booked into the Cochise County Jail.
