TUCSON - A 19-year-old woman was seriously injured Monday night after a car hit her on her bicycle, Tucson Fire officials said.
Police tell us the accident happened on the 1600 block of West Ajo Way near Mission Road. The woman was struck as she and another person on a bicycle were trying to cross Eastbound Ajo.
The other bicyclist was not hit.
Officials say the driver will not be cited at this point, and it doesn't appear drugs or alcohol were involved.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital.
