TUCSON - Tucson Veterans will be honored at Carondelet Hospice and Palliative Care with a hall display.
It will be dedicated on June 14th at 10 a.m. Two retired Navy veterans, one a Carondelet Hospice associate and the other a Carondelet Hospice volunteer, are collaborating to create a display honoring veterans.
They will unveil the display on Flag Day at Holy Family Center, 1802 W. St. Mary's Road.
The Veteran Hall will contain various patriotic and military mementos from every branch of the service. There are also some items donated from members of the community. Honoring veterans is an important priority for Carondelet Hospice and Palliative Care because roughly 25% of the patients they will serve in the next ten years will be veterans.
The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization has started an initiative to help hospice providers understand the unique needs of vets and provide information about accessing available resources for veteran patients and their families called 'We Honor Veterans'.
Carondelet Hospice and Palliative Care Associates and Volunteers are encouraged to attend, along with all associates across the Carondelet Health Network.
