Tucson teacher accused of having affair with student

TUCSON - An English teacher at Empire High School, accused of having an affair with a male student has been attempting to communicate with the student.
Police say that is a violation of Christie Elliott's condition of release.
The 25-year-old teacher has reportedly been trying to communicate with the victim via a third party.
Through witness interviews, detectives learned that Elliott made contact with a second minor and convinced him to offer the victim a monetary benefit, on her behalf, in exchange for the victim's amended testimony against her.
Detectives have confirmed that the victim was contacted by the minor and informed of Elliott's request.
