Tucson Soccer Academy helping bring donations to Season 4 Hope

TUCSON - Tucson's largest soccer club will be helping Season 4 Hope during their annual poinsettia day fundraiser by asking those picking up the flowers to donate food and toys to the drive.

The Tucson Soccer Academy is holding its annual poinsettia day at Brandi Fenton Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday, December 3. To help raise funds, the club has been selling poinsettia plants to businesses, churches and individuals, and this Saturday, hundreds will head to the park to pick up their plants.

So far, they have sold 2,000 plants. The Tucson Soccer Academy has asked that those coming to pick up these plants bring an unwrapped toy or item of food to donate to Season 4 Hope.

If you'd like to pick up a poinsettia grown in Tucson by Green Things, head to Brandi Fenton Park on Saturday to pick up a 6-inch pot plant for $10, an 8-inch pot plant for $16, or a 10-inch for $22 - each size comes in both red and white.

The Tucson Soccer Academy offers youth soccer experience to over 500 families in Southern Arizona.
