TUCSON - The revitalization of downtown Tucson continues with another new business opening its doors this week. World of Beer is a national chain with a new location now open in downtown Tucson. Their grand opening is Thursday, October 31, starting at 9 am with a chicken and waffle breakfast. They have a Halloween costume contest planned with lots of prizes and giveaways, including beer. WOB is known for its wide selection of brews, ranging from obscure microbrews to well known classics from all over. They boast a lineup of more than 500 craft beers, in addition to spirits and a menu of tavern fare to go along with the beverages.
The newest downtown bar is located at 350 E. Congress St. This weekend you'll find cookouts, live entertainment, and of course, beer. A spokesperson for the business tells News 4 that this location is proud to partner with all local Arizona breweries. In keeping with their founding philosophy, World of Beer is partnering with local distilleries to supply the handcrafted spirits to WOB Tucson.
"We are very excited to become a part of the growing craft beer scene in the Tucson community," said JP Watts, WOB Arizona Craft Beer Buyer. "We really look forward to bringing new and rare products into the local market!"
